I have not much used that particular feature. The reason is that I found it 
fairly unstable. I have experienced several times the loss of already 
rendered parts of a scene by adding +C. I don't remember what the error 
message was, or if it was a crash or not. So usually,  I just start again on 
the last rendered row (after saving the previous render) and join everything 
later on.
So, if the feature is more reliable in 3.7, that would be fine of course :-)
