Not in a strict sense... but there also exists (at least since 1974) the 
  DUPLO program for children aged 2 to 4, with extra large bricks! In 
fact  they can be used together with LEGO bricks, but an 8-pin LEGO 
brick just fits onto 2 pins of a DUPLO brick...
