Hmm... I would have thought the sphere was transparent, w/ a different 
IOR sphere inside .. at least, that's what it looked like.

Wings3D seems to be becoming a mainstay here...

Which brings to me another question. What function did you use for the 
water and is it a normal or an isosurface...?
