I don't think those annoying yellow bits are artefacts.
They are the result of refraction and internal reflection through the orange
glass letters.
You can see this clearly when you set the text string to gooooogle!
They show up on the right only.
This being so, you can:
move your spotlights;
move your point of view;
change the geometry of the letters (non-parallel surfaces);
change the optical properties of letters (opaque or scattery)
