Tempted to post a single segment, but I won't spoil my picture. There is 
a gap paramaterized (of course set to 0.00 here). I intended a gap from 
the beginning, but decided later that a segmented look was wrong.

I will be immodest and draw your attention (if you haven't already 
noticed) to a characteristic of the individual elements. The holes are 
not just holes in a wall. The pieces are more solid than that. When one 
edge meets another, the cut away edge follows the contour of the 
intersecting shape (you can see this by noticing the angles of the 
bevels).
