I completely dissagree with you. I have to side with Thorsten on this
particular issue. He was a complete troll. And -- yeah, I tossed a few
bread crumbs his way, so I'm just as guilty.
I don't think there was a well meaning bone in his body when he made the
post. Its apparently either a whining session or a post with malace. Had
he approached with the attitude of, "I think I have some ideas, here's
what I've worked on, and I think I can make it work" The response would
have been much less abrasive. But, instead, he comes by with the
attitude that every *commercial* renderer out there is flawless and why
can't POV-Ray do (insert favorite scanline-rendering technique here)?
The problem is not that he was innocently making a wrong assertion in
attempting to do something, but completely bashing a tool we all enjoy
using.
