...which has the iors set at 1.5, and the dispersion of some set at not
the ior (iirc for a single value representing the diffraction in a
material, the ior should be used).

My table of IORs has the following entries:
Glass____________________1.51714
Glass, Albite____________1.489
Glass, Crown_____________1.52
Glass, Crown, Zinc_______1.517
Glass, Flint, Dense______1.66
Glass, Flint, Heaviest___1.89
Glass, Flint, Heavy______1.65548
Glass, Flint, Lanthanum__1.8
Glass, Flint, Light______1.58038
Glass, Flint, Medium_____1.62725

Personally, I think many of the posters in this thread being a bit
immature and unnecessarily caustic in their messages. The only
difference between them is one of them is an admin and wields power. So
I kindly request that we tone it down a notch, kids.
