OK, this lake is somewhere approximately between Yosemite and San Diego.
:-) It used to feed water to LA (and may still, at a reduced rate)
before the decided it was too scenic to drain. I fear I was still
running on the lousy snapshot camera at the time.
In any case, for a sense of scale, it's probably between 5 and 10 feet
from water to the highest point on these "rocks". They're very crumbly,
like you'd expect basically sandstone made out of salt to be. And if you
visit, wear long socks.
