Under the colour square there are two buttons; pick, and range. Range
allows you to increase the range of values you can use for red, green,
and blue. It is limited to a minimum of -10 and maximum of 10; if you
want values outside that range, copy the code of the material from the
box in the lower-right of the material editor screen to clipboard, make
a new material with direct code ...oh wait, that's a 3.5 feature, never
mind...under 3.3a you're limited to a range of -10 to 10.
