The only real troubleshooting to do when converting Poser models into
Pov-Ray is to check the validity of the material file created by the
modeller. If your model is completely black (assuming that the model has
been included in a valid POV-Ray scene with proper illumination), it is very
probable that the textures are somewhat wrong. I always edit/rewrite the
material files and keep them separate, with the added benefit that they can
often be reusable.
