IIRC it works without paying ... also I did pay for it.

Yes, very important to keep the dock clean (one can configure it such that
Windows don't end up being displayed in the dock). After that, the dock
works almost the same way as the tear-down application list window in
icon-only view!
Another nice too is FruitMenu, which gives you back an Mac OS style "Apple
menu.
The only thing I haven't found yet it something that brings back the Mac OS
Finder drawers at the bottom of the screen. I have only a handful folders I
need to access regularly, and those were very useful as the windows didn't
stick around can cluttered the screen...
Oh, and personally I fixed the jittering menu problem for me a long time ago
by using the option in one of those tools to make the menu with the
application name show _only_ the application icon - which is always the same
size and the menu stops jittering :-)
