I have a 512 Meg machine (a p4 1.5 Ghz, a Hp pavilion zt1185) and I also
have
work to do... So I try to keep memory consumption under 400 megs. I've made
another render with slightly denser photon maps, but while it took a mere
12h or so
to render, I got my machine swapping a bit.
long life to overnight renders.
