It must be complete coincidence since I've never even opened a Dungeon
magazine.  Maybe I will, just to see what you are talking about.

HeroClix is a collectable miniatures game produced by WizKids, LLC. based on
Marvel comic book superheros & villains (Spiderman, Green Goblin, Hulk,
X-Men, Magneto, etc.).  Each miniature is mounted on a base that has a dial
built into it.  The dial has character stats that change when he/she is
attacked & damaged.  The dial is turned once for each point of damage.  When
enough damage is applied to a character, the character is KOed out of the
game.  It's easy enough for kids to play, but fun enough for adults to enjoy
as well.  Most game stores will carry WizKids products.
