I stumbled over the first image at 
http://www.cowderoy.com/graphics/pieces05.htm
and became inspired. I kept some design but changed the towers and the 
layout of the board and came
up with the second image.

There is still alot of work to be done, like the radiosity setting that 
I still struggle with.

Modelling done in Moray 3.3 and rendering in POV-Ray 3.1g. The total 
rendering time
was about 70 minutes for the three different images on a 800 MHz AMD 
with 384 Mb RAM.
The final composition was done in Photoshop.
