I had to get off the treadmill, so now I don't raytrace anymore.

If and when the team does another beta cycle I would strongly suggest that
you give each release a six month lifespan.  You can still generate a new
beta every week and you can demand that bugs be reproducible in the current
version, but actually causing each version to expire in a week adds
unnecessary headaches for everyone.

Now you know my opinion :-)
