I just checked and the book is available at amazon (do a search on Chris
Foss). He didn't released many books (3 I think) and I know that he has
refused to have his work appear in a Sci-Fi art anthology (to the
anthologist's dismay).
There's a Foss mystery, actually. He was a very influential Sci-Fi artist in
the 75-85, at least in the UK and France, doing an incredible number of book
covers, got involved in 3 high-profile movies (Jorodowsky's Dune, Superman
and Alien) but his work wasn't used in the latter two. And then he mostly
disappeared. In 1991, he published a book than didn't sell. I've found later
(post 1981) images of him as posters on the internet, a few book covers, and
some passing reference of him attending a sci-fi convention in the 90s but
it looks like he's retired. The lack of fan base on the internet is sort of
sad, in fact.
I'll probably do my own Foss tribute one day.

G.
