I'm thinking of buying a new PC and was hoping for some guidance :)

Am I right in thinking POV 3.5 runs faster on Athlons than Pentiums? If so how
much faster? IIRC someone compiled an earlier version of pov so it was optimised
for Athlons, has anyone tried this with POV 3.5? Also, what OS gives the best
render times?

I've got a 2GHz P4 at work (sweet), but for home I'm looking at a much much
cheaper 1.4GHz Athlon. Though I'd be prepared to spend a bit more cash if it
means my home machine has the edge when it comes to running pov. :)
