I am pleased to announce that orders are now being taken for the Year Four
IRTC CDROM, via our website at http://www.aussie.org/products/. The CD itself
is currently with the manufacturer and is expected to become available for
shipping on December 7, 2001.

As with previous years, the Y4 CD is a high-quality professionally-replicated
CD with a five-color silk-screen process on the disk itself and four-colour
offset printing for the booklet and tray insert. It contains all stills and
animation entries into Year Four of the IRTC (May/June 1999-March/April 2000),
and is considerably different in layout to the IRTC site itself. Those of you
who have purchased the Year Three IRTC CDROM will be familiar with the layout;
those who have not seen the Y3 CD may like to check out the online version at
http://www.povray.org/preview/irtc-cd3/ for a look. The Y4 CD is very similar
to this (with a few minor enhancements, such as a global stills filename index).

Orders placed now will be first in line for shipping when the CD is released
(which is important given the proximity of Christmas to the release date, if
you want to have a chance of receiving it before the holidays). If you elect
to pay by credit card, your card will not be charged until the CD is released.

Please remember that the very existance of this news server - and the community
that it hosts - along with the www.povray.org and www.irtc.org web sites depend
on sales of these CD's to keep them going. Please consider purchasing a CD if
you can afford it!
