Here is my torii.  Not artistic but those textures (surfaces)
would be useful.

 Left   : isosurface torus with small truncated cones
 Center : isosurface torus with f_mesh1 function
 Right  : torus with normal map
 Carpet : isosurface

I used focal blur to avoid moire.
Render time is about 80 min for 800x600 on Celeron 600MHz 
(9 min without focal blur).
