Sometimes you have no choice.
The DivX version of the animation with an acceptable quality could take
1 MB, while the equivalent MPEG1 takes more than 4 MB. The latter just can't
be posted due to size limits.
Usually reducing the MPEG1 to the same size as the DivX destroys the image
almost completely.
Besides, MPEG4 is the future. We can't live with MPEG1 forever.
