I've tried several sets of radiosity on the following figure, but couldn't
ever manage to get rid of those artifacts. Here are the two that seem to get
the least artifacts and still provide the effect I'm looking for:

      pretrace_start 0.08
      pretrace_end   0.01
      count 200
      nearest_count 10
      error_bound 0.01
      recursion_limit 2
      low_error_factor 0.1
      gray_threshold 0.0
      minimum_reuse 0.015
      brightness 1
      adc_bailout 0.01/2

and

      brightness 1
      count 300
      distance_maximum 0.0
      error_bound 0.01
      gray_threshold 0.05
      low_error_factor 0.0005
      minimum_reuse 0.01
      nearest_count 6
      recursion_limit 1
      always_sample off

How can I get rid of the artifacts, please?
