For some reason this looks like a camera to me :)

I think its the angle. Its a good base model, but it obviously needs some
work. I understand that you're just starting out, so I won't be harsh :)

The back of the vessel has features, but the front is lacking, drawing all
the attention toward the back. This may be what you want, but it can also
make the object just look wrong.

When working with POV-Ray, remember that it is also a modeler in addition
to being a raytracer. Rhino is great for working with complex shapes, but
its not built for larger scenes (prove me wrong :)). I'd start by giving
the ship some more details, and TEXTURES :). Start with what you have
already, the engine thingies. Put a flame/other exhaust coming from them.
Give them a more blackened rougher look. Maybe move some parts of the ship
toward a white color, or maybe just apply a large texture map? (its harder
than you think).

I think textures is step 1. Step 2 would be to model some seperate weapons
pods or something of the sort (keep them as seperate objects so you can
work with them in POV easily).
