Before you judge Thorsten you might try using POV-Ray a while and then ask
yourself how much you enjoy using it. Thorsten is one of the main core
developers of POV-Ray plus he maintains the Mac version of the program.
Where it not for his contributions to POV-Ray it would be considerably less
than what it is now. He may not be an openly charming person publicly but
his work speaks for itself.

Try not to be such an emotionally sensitive putz and cut the guy some slack.
