Mostly, I wanted to point out what nice "flowers" you can get when you 
apply uv_mapping to parametric surfaces made from spherical products of 
polar functions.  The key to following the petals is to base the uv_map 
on multiples of the same functions (r1 and r2) used to generate the surface.

For example, if r1 = cos(3u), then use color functions like cos(6*pi*u).

But then it looked kind of boring, so I hung a picture behind it that I 
made from while-loops of csg objects rotated on polar function paths. 
The fractal plant in the center of the framed picture is a 3D IFS.
