Doesn't look that way to me, just looks like they're reflecting 
different things. There seems to be a bit of a highlight causing the 
solder to be a bit lighter, but since the normal of the pin is 
different, it doesn't catch the highlight, but in-stead, just above the 
solder it reflects the gold pad on the chip, then a little higher up you 
get the black chip packaging, then higher up still you get a reflection 
of some lighter colored texture not directly visible, a background or 
floor I'm guessing.
