Yes I may be tempted again though it sometimes seems like hubris.  It 
can be a pleasant learning exercise because you are guaranteed to get a 
result of some degree of fascination.  Both the appeal and the 
frustration is that ultimately there is not a photorealistic endpoint to 
aim for.  Appealing because it gives some wiggle room; frustrating 
because as you approach the limit of realness, you have less visual 
reference and must rely on your own judgement.  It might also be 
interesting to work the differences between the raytraced outcome and 
the painted, to push the raytrace down a quite difference path, the 
original painting being something of a seed, if you will.  Anyway I have 
alsways loved still life.  I painted still life continuously for about 
fifteen years.  My very first raytracings were copies from Morandi.
