Hi,

I agree -- the barrel is flat. Probably it's due to its
'cone+cylinder+cone'-construction. You should use a lathe-
or SOR-object to give it a rounded outline. This also would
make the borders between the planks round, whitch should
increase the 3d-perception. To make these borders (yes!, I
can see them, but barely) more clearly visible, I suggest to
make the planks more different by varying their texture
(color, turbulence, scale).
The upper hoop looks rectangular, because the camera sits in
its plane. This contributes to the flatness.
The hoops should be slightly conical (tangent to the curved
outline) and have some thickness.
I also do not understand the dark shadows(?) below the hoops.
No details are visible in the lower right part of the barrel.
Of course it must be rather dark, but is it neccesary to make
it SO dark?
The window seems a little simplistic, compared to the
elaborate other objects in your scene: only a uniform yellow
and some dark lines. Or will higher resolution bring out more
detail?
The weights look like beeing painted with a transparent green;
I would expect more yellow, perhaps a little brown.

Everything else: GREAT! Mmmmmh, these apples -- have you ever
thought of slicing up or biting them? Let us see that in your
next masterpiece!

Oh, you really think you can *ever* get a _final_ picture?!

Awaiting the 'final' version (and then the second 'final'
version, and then ...)
