Something like 45m to 1h on a 333MHz pII. The radiosity

Mathematica (and also www.mathworld.wolfram.com) offer
a number of platonic solids primitives, plus a number of
tessellated solids. These are Graphics3D objects. I wrote
a mathematica function that breaks these graphics into
triangles, then outputs them as a POV format mesh. I admit
it's more than loosely based on the LiveGraphics3D java applet/
mathematica functions by Martin Kraus. You can find more
