Is that an opposable thumb I can see? What about length conservation on
your spline-wires, is that sorted? If you can adapt the string code at
http://www.esite-host.com/~rocketmg/ for use in animations, it might be
helpful (some of the cloth animators in p.b.a can probably help you with
this, since cloths are 2D analogues of strings...)
I look forward to your completed scene, hopefully with more robot
bits...
