I have found MegaPOV and its related patches to be stable. The beta
versions of 3.5 promises that it will be very powerful when the kinks are
out. Very fast and flexible with most of the Mega features. I still use
Mega when I need stable splines or want to play with the cloth patch or the
renderman patch. Otherwise I use 3.5 beta. I have used the Mega patch of
3.1 since forever, whether I actually used the added feature set or not.
There is no reason to distrust it and it is a fast download. And it is not a
oneway street. With Mega installed you can still start up the 3.1 engine.
You don't have to be a technical he-man to use either Megapov or 3.5 beta.
Believe me, I should know.
