I've noticed that too. Transparency is already very difficult to handle with
radiosity, but I've almost given up on using radiosity + transparency + ior. In
my IRTC "contrast" picture, I had to remove a few bottles because of that. In
another instance, 1 single bottle with ior made the render impossibly slow, and
not only when it reached the bottle. Just removing the ior made it...
acceptably slow.
