That's what you have to expect, the contrast should be fairly high. You
can try to increase the sun light intensity and maybe make the objects
inside brighter. The directly lit parts near the windows should be nearly
white like on a well-balanced photograph. Also note that you probably have
to use recursion_limit 2 or larger to get sufficient lighting.
