Really? I have tried myself to render with LightWave 5.6 on a G3/400 B&W and on my
G/400 and I noticed a raw 10% increment in rendering speed.

Wich I should not state as "*greatly* improved"...

As well, my G4/400 is only a bit slower than a Athlon 600. With LW 5.6...
