I started with POV-Ray in November, I haven't tried media yet.
Media was in my original plan, but I'm not sure what would look good.
The background looked much better on a previous render, but some things
were completely black that I wanted to see because I spent so much time 
on them, so I added another light.  The background is just a white 
plane, it was meant to be a place holder for the fog background I was 
going to use.
