I'm fairly satisfied with this :)

Each torch is a column of three (for small "stick") or six (for large
"lantern") point lights with a yellowish tint. If you look closely (at
least on the PNG version) the banding is evident, but it blends pretty
well. Because of the number of lights (42) and the high aa (0.1, even
0.2 left nasty artifacts on the daylight version if you look closely) it
took a long time to render...

This is a very black-level sensitive image, so if you can't make out
details in the dimly lit areas turn off the room lights or shield your
monitor, trust me it looks a lot better!
