I would like to see some more done with this. I like the idea a lot. Some
suggestions:

Keep the light source inside the TV, but place an image map in front of it
with some screenshot with added transparency.
The way the front of the "cushion" is set makes me think it could easilty
become a mouth, along the lines of the Aardman animation "Not without my
handbag." (I can't find a screenshot, sorry)

A bit more anthropomorphication on the couch, add a couple of empty chip
bags, and you've got a fun scene.
