Now this really brings back some great memories. In July '94 I went to see
Metallica at the Blockbuster Pavilion in San Bernardino, California. They
played "One" (of course), and they extended the beginning part, with the
machine gun fire and soldiers yelling, for a long time. During that part
there were lots of brilliant white flashes of light, which I suppose were
meant to simulate grenades and/or muzzle flashes.  (The song only mentions a
land mine, but these flashes were in the air.) It was a special experience,
because I knew what was about to happen...
