I think you can make such ridges by adding a black and white color map ti
the crackle item in the isosurface defiistion! Try something like:
color_map {
[0.0 color rgb 0]
[0.3 color rgb 0.3]
[0.3 color rgb 0]
[0.4 color rgb 0]
[0.4 color rgb 0.4]
[1.0 color rgb 1]
}
You get the idea...
