It does? Then it is in error. Where does it say that?

You can add comments to textures and scenes, but not to objects.

You can add comments to a "standard texture" node in the Material
Editor by right-clicking on it and selecting "comment".

You can add comments to the scene by going into Scene->Settings and
then the "Includes" Tab. There is a edit field that allows for
comments in the scene.
