I would guess that you can't get rid of those lines because they are
supposed to be there (following the laws of physics). You can probably
remove them by removing the 'lip' at the top of the glass.

This image was rendered with megapov, contains only two objects and one
light source. I have tried different photons settings. But whenever the
number of photons_shot increases, the result is the same. How can I avoid
the bright and dark lines (1, 2)?.
