Well, it is a pretty basic macro. You can look at it on my povray page, URL
in sig.

It basically creates a column of point lights, surrounded by a cylinder with
a cap at the far end. The problem is, you have to place the cylinder outside
of the viewable area. Like I said, it is basic, and I was really just
playing around. You specify the two ends of the constraining cylinder,
radius of the cylinder, color of the lights, and the "granularity" (the
number of point lights used, 30-40 looks good, any less and you can see
visible banding).
