  The others already answered your primary question but since you are
likely to have others similar to this one I suggest you spend a few
minutes browsing through the VFAQ. It was put together by several of
the people here concerning questions that fall into the "very frequently
asked questions" category and you can learn a lot of the basics from this
list.
