Differences:
SuperPatch: many patches in one
UVPOV: Nathan Kopp's patches in one

Advantages:
SuperPatch: many patches in one
UVPOV: photon mapping, uv mapping, etc. etc.

Disadvantages:
They are not in one patch (yet).
