  You're right, of course. I re-referenced this subject as I remembered
seeing alabaster used, only to find that the pyramids were constructed of
two types of limestone, and granite. The outer, more robust layer of
limestone was polished, upon completion, until it shone like alabaster.

  I stand corrected. :)
