And a beautiful seascape it is sir. I think you have nailed the
swell surge through the rocks and I find it entirely believable.

I have not used the fade option with media myself so can not offer
any advice in this area. Other than a few of the areas you mentioned
you will be working on I noticed the visibility through the water
as you have it specified for this image is a little too clear. You
can clearly see through the wave down to the base of the rocks and
it gives the impression of looking through hand crafted glass
and not a body of water.
But I assume you already noticed this as well. I don't really think
that having a lot of transparency is necessary for this type of image.
I have spent many hours surf fishing around rocks like these and most
of the time I get frustrated at not being able to see more than a foot
or so down into the water. The old "if I could just see the fish I could
catch them" school of thinking.

It really varies by situation too much for me to try to advise you
on a given array amount. They have always required a fair amount of
tweaking when I have used them in a scene and have not found a
universal plug it in and go statement for using them.

Which version of Pov are you using right now ? That should be fixed
in V3.1e which is available at the pov home page.

I just had a thought about that. I wonder if Chris Colefax's particle
generator include file could be coerced into giving you a foam like
substance. It is a flexible little utility and it has features that
lend themselves well to water related environments.

And you sir.
I looking forward to seeing the results when it is finished. You are
definitely making strides in this area of Pov artistry.
