Great job done on the tree!
After looking closely at the shadows...  was
curious as to how it would look with area-lights.
I was thinking maybe ONE light with a great many
points,  spaced very closely together.  I mean really closely.
Possibly a 32x32 array of lights ?

I don't know how long it took to render that tree so I am not
entirely sure if what I am suggesting here is feasible.
Anyways,  like I said,  very impressive tree.
