Thats going to be some scene when complete, wish you all the luck.
A shimmering navy to cobalt blue like Ken said sounds good for R2, that
violet colored metal of Robot might could use a bit of graying out, more
of a steel gray. Wish I had seen a recent color episode, only b&w
though.
I do know the voice-light is red when he talks. Might look good in a
still image to have it uttering something :) Don't know about the torus
size as Ken mentioned, but could be something to do with perspective
here.
