A couple of pointers it is then.
First I suggest reading the Pov VFAQ as this is a common
question and is answered there.

Second you must remember that light sources in Pov are
not visible. All they do is provide light for objects
to reflect. With that in mind, to make something look
like it is glowing like a light, you need it to give
it it's own light like characteristics. High ambient
values in a finish statement work well in thi regard.
And don't forget to read the Pov VFAQ from covereth to covereth. :)
