Debi, this is the wrong newsgroup for you, have a look at
povray.text.tutorials for a start. Ken Tyler has put together a list
of sites where you can get tutorials on POV-Ray and you will find his
list there.
Co-incidently on the povray.general newsgroup there is currently an
interesting discussion about the scarcity of women doing raytracing.
It is worth a look.
If you haven't already got it, you should download the freeware
POV-Ray package from http://www.povray.org/ and have a look at it.
You don't need to be a programmer.
