The Plugin SDK is currently in beta test and will be documented quite
well IMHO. It comes with four samples all very well commented.

Compared to an sPatch plugin, writing a Moray plugin will be more
complex, simply because the Moray plugin system exposes much more
functionality and will allow much deeper integration into Moray.
sPatch only exposes an Export plugin interface.
